first solid shampoo and very impressed

5out of 5

Pros: Cleans Effectively, Moisturizes, Good Value, Easy To Use, Pleasant Smell, Gentle, Perfect for travel

Best Uses: Showers, Travel, Daily Use

This is the first solid shampoo I’ve ever tried. I’ve got natural blonde wavy hair that falls between the top and middle of my back. I only mention the color because my hair has a tendency to look oily very easily due to being light in color.

I love the Zero Shampoo bar. I’ve used it every day this week along with the Zero solid conditioner and my hair has been behaving extremely well. The bar lathers well and leaves my hair feeling very clean – with no residue, which was my fear with solid shampoo. The (amazing) smell lasts for a good while without being overwhelming.

I’d definitely recommed any of these solid shampoos to anyone looking to try out something different.

birthday presents, part i

glasses

I’ve got an eye doctor’s appointment today. The hinge on my current glasses has apparently had enough, as the screw keeps falling out an inopportune times. I’ve gotten 4 years of daily wear out of them and they were $50 frames, so I can’t complain. (Except maybe about the prospect of picking out new ones…)

boots

My new boots are coming in today and I’m pretty psyched.

I have a serious love of boots. They’re pretty much my shoe of choice. There’s something about leather that’s stretched to fit your foot like a glove that I just can’t argue with. And the fact that Cole Haan put Nike Air insoles in their boots is an added facet of awesomeness. They’re insanely comfy.

sewing slump

2 Feb

This seems to happen to me every year. I get into a gift-making rush between my nieces’ birthdays in October and making presents for Christmas and then come January I become extremely lazy with respect to sewing and don’t touch the machine or a needle for a few months.
